My Journey

I’m sitting here reflecting on the moments and experiences throughout my life that have brought me to where I am today.

From a young age, I was always surrounded by children. I come from a big family, which meant close connections, constant activity, and a natural gravitation toward caring for others. Being around children felt familiar and comforting, and it quickly became clear that working with them was something that came naturally to me.

Throughout high school, I always knew I wanted a career working with children—but I wasn’t quite sure in what capacity. One day, while scrolling on Facebook, I came across a post advertising a course to become a nanny. Something instantly clicked. After doing some research, I remember saying to my mum, “I’m going to start this course.” That decision turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever made.

During my training, I worked closely with newborns through to young children, completing both live-in and live-out placements. These hands-on experiences gave me invaluable insight into the daily lives of families and the individual needs of children at different stages of development.

After graduating with my Level 5 qualification, I moved to America to work as a live-in nanny. This experience allowed me not only to travel and immerse myself in a new culture, but also to gain a deep respect for parents navigating everyday life. I witnessed firsthand the exhaustion, dedication, and hard work that parenting requires—alongside the immense joy that children bring into a home.

After returning home to New Zealand, I continued working as a nanny for several years before making the move to Perth, Western Australia. It was here that I had the privilege of working with an incredible family who not only provided amazing travel opportunities but also encouraged and supported my personal and professional growth.

Working so closely with this family reignited my passion for expanding my knowledge of children and their development. This led me to take the next step in my journey by completing my baby sleep consultant training. I’ve recently finished this course—and wow, what an incredible learning experience it has been.

This marks the beginning of a brand-new chapter in my life, and I am so excited to support families on their sleep journeys. I offer a supportive, personalised, and loving approach—one that I truly believe sets me apart. My goal is to empower parents, honour each family’s unique needs, and help create calm, well-rested homes where everyone can thrive.
